Snqamu Sodidla hails from eHluhluwe, eMdletsheni, Hluhluwe. He is 40 years of age, and he has been one who brings laughter to many through his attitude, postures, and performances, using his body stature to his advantage.

Contrary to what many of you believe, Snqamu Sodidla started from a humble beginning. In fact, he came from a family that wasn’t financially buoyant, but that doesn’t matter when you are born with a great destiny. Growing up in the village of eHluhluwe, Snqamu Sodidla had mastered the customs and traditions of his Zulu people.

He used his vast knowledge of Zulu culture to tell great stories, enhance his performances, and when Maskandi became a mainstream sound in Mzansi, he quickly tapped into the genre, and his contributions are quickly changing the Maskandi landscape.

Snqamu Sodidla did start with making music. Before he released his chart-topping “Halala” single, he first acted as a backup singer to many known Maskandi talents, and when he released his debut album, he had already refined his skills and was ready for what was to come. It was no surprise that he amassed over 2 million combined streams on the song in the first week of its release.
