Born Lethabo Chantell Maule, PLG Chanty hails from Bolobedu, Limpopo, South Africa. She was born on November 1, 2006 (Age 19), and was raised in a culturally rich and disciplined home.

From an early age, while still in primary school, she developed a deep passion for music. Her strict upbringing helped her stay connected to her roots, allowing her to incorporate the rich traditions and vibrant culture of Limpopo into the music she creates.

Driven by her passion, she surrounded herself with the right people and officially began her music career in 2021. Although she initially worked as a voice-over artist and backup vocalist, it took a few years before she released music as a lead artist. During this period, she performed under different stage names, including LTC_Christly and PlayGirl.Chanty, as she gradually discovered her artistic identity before settling for PLG Chanty.
