Musa Mthombeni also known as Dr Musa is a South African medical doctor and radiologist, presenter and actor. Dr. Musa first came into the limelight at a very young age after he became a presenter and anchor of the famous TV show, YoTV, on the SABC1 network.

Biography & Background

Dr Musa Mthombeni real name, Musawenkosi Mthokozisi Mthombeni was born on the 22nd of April, 1989 (Age 35) in South Africa. He grew up in Vaal and attended Riverside high school in Vereeniging. While in highschool, he secured a presenter slot at YoTV on the SABC1 network with the stage name, Moousse.

Dr. Musa anchored the YoTV show from 2002 to August 11, 2012, hosting several shows such as Coke Zero Fest, Boy Meets Grill: Milkshakes, and many more, which made him one of the youngest celebrities in South Africa at that time.

After 10 years of working with YoTv, Dr Musa finally bid farewell to the show in August of 2012 and the following two years, he started his MBBS program at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Despite pursuing a career in Medicine and Surgery, Dr Musa never left the entertainment industry and his commitment to TV never diminished. He landed even more significant roles after his exit from YoTv, taking up a lead role in the movie, Ek Joke Net 2 that was released in 2014.

Education & Career
Dr Musa graduated from Riverside high school in 2012 and proceeded to the University of the Witwatersrand in 2015 where he obtained Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery – MBBS. In 2023, he completed the Diagnostic Radiology board exams in South Africa (FC Rad Diag SA).
