On the afternoon of Sunday, April 19, a tragic incident occurred in Emmarentia that led to the death of a man, while leaving his wife in critical condition.
How It Happened
According to reports, the fatal shooting resulted from an apparent road rage incident that began with a minor bumper collision and quickly escalated into violence.
Videos shared across social media, recorded by bystanders, show that the two drivers were engaged in a heated argument. Within moments, guns were drawn and shots were fired. Unfortunately, one of the drivers was fatally shot, while his wife was also struck. She was rushed to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
During the incident, the victim’s children were in the car. They were visibly shaken, crying, and terrified as the situation unfolded. Emergency responders arrived promptly, and the children were taken to safety and given proper care.
Police have since cordoned off the tree-lined residential street as forensic teams process the scene. An arrest has been made.
