Checkout SASSA’s Grants Payment Dates For May & June 2026
Knowing when the next South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) grant payments will be made helps older persons, unemployed individuals, and other beneficiaries plan ahead.
Today, we bring you the payment schedule for May and June 2026. As usual, payments for each month will begin with Older Persons, followed by Disability, and then Children’s grants on consecutive days.
SASSA Payment Dates for May 2026
SASSA will begin issuing payments for Older Persons on 5 May 2026. This will be followed by the Disability Grant on 6 May 2026. The Children’s Grant will be paid on 7 May 2026, while Exceptions (all grants) will be processed on 8 May 2026.
SASSA Payment Dates for June 2026
Unlike May, June payments will begin earlier. This is because the month starts on a weekday, unlike May, which began over a weekend. Since payments typically start on the first working days of the month, the schedule shifts accordingly.
For June, the Older Persons Grant will be paid on 2 June 2026, followed by the Disability Grant on 3 June 2026. The Children’s Grant will be issued on 4 June 2026, and as usual, Exceptions (all grants) will be processed on 5 June 2026, concluding the payment cycle for the month of June.
