Tebogo G Mashego is a multi-talented artists, presenter, brand marketer and entertainer who is making waves on the social media space. He’s one of the youngest Tiktok influencer in South Africa, with over half a million followers.

Biography & Background
Tebogo G Mashego hails from Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga and was born August 16, 2022 (Age 23). He’s the eldest male in his home with two younger sisters.

Being raised by his Gogo, Tebogo G Mashego initially never had the plans of becoming a social media influencer but his consistent failure at school made him rediscover his talents.

Tebogo G Mashego attended Dr WF Nkomo Secondary School but dropped out when he was in grade 11. After dropping out, he started content creation on his socials and later moved his acts to Tiktok where he attained fame after his video of himself singing along to a Basta 929 song went viral.

Music & Brand Marketer
Tebogo G Mashego didn’t stop at just being famous on social media, he properly launched his musical career and released a number of singles thereafter. In January of 2024, he released “KUNYEKE” with Darling The Pandemic and the following month he teamed up with Dj Karri, Dj Gizo, Tebogo G Mashego, 2woshort & Bukzin Keys for “Ghida.”

Tebogo G Mashego has also gained mad popularity as a brand influencer and he is currently one of the most sought-after digital marketer, collaborating with various luxurious brands.

Issues With DJ Maphorisa
In September of 2025, Tebogo G Mashego called out DJ Maphorisa for refusing to pay him the royalties for his “Biri Marung” single with Mr Pilato, Ego Slimflow, DJ Maphorisa,Focalistic & Scotts Maphuma. The song which was released in November of 2024 was one of the biggest records of the year, dominating multiple charts and amassing over 60 million combined streams across digital platforms.

Tebogo G Mashego’s Stranding in Nigeria
Tebogo G. Mashego was stranded in Abuja, Nigeria, after being abandoned by the organisers who brought him to the country. He quickly took to his social media to cry for help, and DJ Karri, known for his kind gestures, promptly offered to pay for his flight back to South Africa.

Arrest
It was reported on the 24th of September 2025 that Tebogo G. Mashego was arrested by the following his many allegations against DJ Maphorisa, Toss, Sony Music and other artists in South Africa. Addressing the situation, the police said Tebogo G. Mashego was not been arrested but was taken away by the Laudium SAPS from the community after he displayed an abnormal behaviour and allegedly acted violently, assaulting people without apparent cause.

Mental Health
Following his arrest by the police, Tebogo G. Mashego was admitted to a psychiatric hospital in Pretoria West for drug induced psychosis.
