Minnie Dlamini Sues MacG For R2.5 million For His “What If Uyanuka” Statement
Minnie Dlamini is not letting the slurs and insults allegedly directed at her by MacG slide after he made the “what if uyanuka” comment during a recent episode of Podcast and Chill.
Dlamini is suing for damages and seeking R2.5 million in compensation. The “what if uyanuka” comment, which roughly translates to “What if she’s dirty?”, has allegedly had a negative impact on her brand and may have contributed to the collapse of a R897,000 Nivea campaign.
To compensate for the alleged losses and damage to her reputation, Dlamini is seeking R1 million for herself and R1.5 million for Women for Change.
Minnie Dlamini and MacG are expected to appear in court in the next couple of days, and it is sure to be a showdown.
This is not the first time MacG has faced controversy over his use of degrading language towards people on his show. However, unlike previous encounters, he will now have to defend himself in court and fight to protect his reputation.
