The Story of Khulekani Zikhali, His Girlfriend, and the Gym Instructor
Khulekani Zikhali had a normal relationship with his girlfriend, just like most couples do. Although they were not married, they had a child together. Like many couples, Khulekani’s baby mama wanted to stay fit, and one way of achieving that was by going to the gym, which Khulekani enrolled her in.
After months of attending the gym, Khulekani’s baby mama appeared to have developed a relationship with one of the gym instructors. Prior to this, Khulekani had been hearing rumors that his girlfriend was having affairs with other men, but he paid no attention to them.
On January 23, after closing from work, Khulekani drove to the gym to pick up his girlfriend, as he normally did. Upon arrival, he waited in a corner for her to finish her workout. While waiting, he noticed something unusual: he saw the gym instructor touching his baby mama in inappropriate ways that did not sit well with him.
Although angered by what he saw, Khulekani controlled his emotions and went back to his car. Unaware of his presence, his girlfriend continued her workout, not knowing that Khulekani was already there to pick her up, as the gym was crowded and busy. After she finished exercising, she went outside and got into Khulekani’s car. However, instead of driving home immediately, Khulekani waited for the gym instructor to come out. Eventually, the instructor did come out, got into his car, and Khulekani followed him.
Upon reaching a quiet area, Khulekani flashed his headlights at the gym instructor, who was a few meters ahead. The man stopped and got out of his car. At that moment, Khulekani took out a gun and fired shots at him, killing the gym instructor on the spot. He then returned to his car, pulled his baby mama out, and shot her, killing her as well.
After the incident, Khulekani drove to the police station and handed himself over, explaining everything that had happened. The incident occurred in Johannesburg last night at around 8 p.m.
