HorizonLeap Biography, Profile, Age, Career, Albums, Songs
HorizonLeap is a vocalist, composer, author, and producer who also owns Kora Music PTY LTD. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous projects, including “Love Land” featured on the House Afrika Sessions 5 album, the remix “Follow Follow” of Chymamusique’s “Season of Change,” and “Love in the Music” by Brewed Souls, which appeared on another House Afrika compilation.
Born on February 22, 1982, in Evaton, HorizonLeap was destined for a musical career due to his family’s Christian background and a pianist brother.
His passion for music intensified after he was mentored by South African music legend Mr. Koloi Lebona. In 2005, HorizonLeap founded his own record label, “Ice Rocks Records.”
Despite initial struggles in breaking into the industry, HorizonLeap’s fortunes changed in 2013 when he met DJ Marrykano at Maponya Mall. DJ Marrykano introduced him to producer Thapelo “Gintonic” Ginya, who produced the first version of “Love Land,” which gained fame and was remixed by several other producers.
Known for his smooth and engaging voice on House music tracks, HorizonLeap’s versatility has also led him to explore genres like Hip Hop and Amapiano. Although he may not be widely recognized by face, his music is familiar to many through South African radio and TV stations.
