Khaka Yena popularly known as Gaba Cannal is a popular South African Producer, DJ, Vocalist, Independent Record Label owner, Songwriter and Composer. Gaba Cannal is one of the pioneers of the Amapiano genre across the globe. His music production reflects pure talent and great creativity.
After completing his matric, Gaba Cannal registered his own music record label called “Gaba Cannal Music”, he released his first solo album in 2015 under his own record label titled “Feelings”. The album topped the “Top 100” Traxsource charts at No. 3 in three (3) Days.
He has performed on stages with several global superstars including Ralf GUM, Andy Campton, Nick Holder, Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Ganyani, Nastee Nev, DJ Clock, LinQ, MFR Souls, Giggs Superstar, KoJo Akusa, Mzee and Several others.
Gaba Cannal Early Life, Age and Career
Gaba Cannal was born on the 23rd of July 1995 in Daveyton, Gauteng and was raised in Katlehong, East of Johannesburg, South Africa. Where he completed his schooling and ventured into music production. Gaba Cannal Studied at Siyalakha Christian School and he finished matric in Fumana High School.
Gaba Cannal started his musical career at the age of 18 as an Hip-hop producer and a pianist. In 2014, he released his first EP titled “Abundance”, which opened ways for the artist in the Music Industry and in the same year he created his own Independent record label called “Gaba Cannal Music Pty-Ltd”.
He has also signed few well-known producers like KwiiSA (Gong Gong), De Mthuda (Shesha Geza), Da Maziqal Chef, Master Jay, Semi Soul, DJ Mandy and McKay Soul.
