The Story of Alostro (Mahau Louis)
Alostro is a socialite and a curbside commentator. He got his fame during the 2020 lockdown after butchering the English language during a live SABC lockdown interview.
Biography
Alostro real name Mahau Louis is a 33years old male hailing from Pretoria. As someone from a not-so financially buoyant family, Alostro got himself engaged in street activities at a very early age.
By the time he was in his early 20’s, he had already taken the streets as a home and as a result, he got introduced to excessive alcohol and drugs abuses. His addiction and homelessness altered his life trajectory that he was unable to achieve anything for himself, not even Matric.
Alostro gained social media fame during an SABC live interview on Pretoria’s homeless situation during the lockdown when the government aimed to relocate homeless individuals in Tshwane. The interview was conducted with homeless people, and Alostro, being one of the interviewees, delivered a butchered English language that went viral on the social media spaces.
Rehabilitation
On the 23rd of January, 2024, popular producer and fast rising deejay, DJ Karri announced that he would be taking Alostro to a rehab and get him the needed treatment he deserves.
Before the rehabilitation process, Alostro was given a special treat and makeover by DJ Karri. Alostro was gifted with plenty new clothes and had a new haircut. He was also taken to a fast food restaurant where he was given some nice food treatment.
After the special treatment, DJ Karri searched for Alostro’s family members who later approved the entire rehabilitation process.
“We are looking for a family member of Alostro to give us a permission for him to go to rehab and sign the documents upon his arrival. It’ll be a process to transform his life, but we will get there.” – Dj Karri tweeted.
Alostro was admitted into the Limpopo Anti Drugs Gangsterism and Crime (L.A.D.G.A.C) rehabilitation center on the 26th of January 2024.
