Yams Zwakalaa is a model and social media influencer. She trended on the South African social media spaces in February of 2024 after she was accused of having an affair with her friends husband.
Biography
Yams Zwakalaa was born on the March 1, 2020 (Age 24). She grew up in a middle class family and her upbringing in a scary neighborhood in Amalinda, East London shaped her live and future life decisions.
“I grew up in a really scary environment (amalinda) for 4 years, where we could just be chilling at night and you’d hear someone trying to break in. that is one of the reasons why i created a safe space for myself, it still traumatizes me till today butat least now i know i am safe.” – Yams Zwakalaa said about the neighbourhood she grew up in.

Being a confident and fashionable young woman who takes pride in her appearance and lifestyle, she was able to break through her limitations.
Accusations of Romantic Affairs with A Married Man
On the 18th of February 2024, allegations were laid against Yams Zwakalaa for allegedly having an affair with her best friend’s husband, Happy Thabang.
The news which looks more like a gossip between ladies spread on Social Media, triggering lots of debate about Yams Zwakalaa loyalty to friendship.

Within hours of her alleged affairs with a married man going viral on Twitter, Yams Zwakalaa issued a statement, absolving herself of any wrongdoings and said the rumours are just any lies to tarnish her image.
Yams Zwakalaa said it’s shameful for anyone to think she would stoop so low to betray the trust of her best friend.
“Good morning. Whoever started this rumor is clearly sick in the head but I just want you to know that I never slept with anyone’s husband especially a person I considered as a sister. This rumor is not true and it’s just so sick that someone would assume such about me. I genuinely cannot believe that I’m addressing something that’s totally not true but I feel like it’s getting out of hand. I’m going to ask you to stop with the lies.” – she tweeted on her official Twitter account.
