Tebogo Mnisi is the man responsible for the death of cousins Tshiamo & Baleseng Moramaga.

Background
On 26 October 2025, tragedy struck the peaceful streets of Mamelodi East when two young women, cousins Tshiamo and Baleseng Moramaga, were found dead in the street, and another woman was found injured and in critical condition.

The lifeless bodies of Tshiamo Moramaga, aged 22, and Baleseng Moramaga, aged 21, were discovered in Mahube Valley Extension 17 in the early hours of Sunday, 26 October 2025. According to neighbours and eyewitnesses, Tshiamo and Baleseng had been at a local tavern on Saturday night, and as expected, their outing lasted until the early morning. At around 2 a.m., while they were on their way home, residents reported hearing a heated argument followed by gunfire echoing through the quiet Mamelodi streets.

The argument, which involved a man named Tebogo Mnisi, an ex of Tshiamo, reportedly escalated when he drew a gun and shot Tshiamo and Baleseng Moramaga in the head. A third person, believed to be a friend of the victims, was also shot in the body. Although her injuries were not immediately fatal, she was rushed to Letaba Hospital, where she remains in critical condition under police protection.

The harassment of the young women is believed to have started at the tavern or a short distance from it. When Tebogo Mnisi began acting strangely, Tshiamo quickly sent a message to her friend hours before the shooting that read:
“Tlaa go Tebogo ashuu wa actor moh.” (“Come, Tebogo is acting up.”)

Manhunt & Arrest
Following the revelation of the message, resident of the community became infuriated and judging from the fact that it was reported that Mnisi was still at large, they torched his home in Mahube Valley later that Sunday afternoon.

The next day, the 38-year-old male was arrested at a Pretoria filling station and on Wednesday, October 29, he was made to appear before the Mamelodi Magistrate’s court where he’s facing a case of two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Following his appearance, he was remanded in prison untill January 26.
