Sam Deep with real name Samukelo Rorisang Mavuso, is a talented South African Producer, DJ, Vocalist, Singer and Songwriter. Sam Deep is referred to as the King of Amapiano genre, he has consistently proven himself as one of the best music producer in the entertainment industry, with his constant release of amazing hit songs and albums.

The Singer made his debut, with the song titled “iMpumelelo”, which was released on the 10th of March 2023. The song had over 10 million streams on the first week of release, and it featured superstars Eemoh and Da Muziqal Chef.

On 13th October 2023, the Singer released his most anticipated project titled “iMALI YE NTWANA”. The album consist of a 15 tracklist, released under Aces of Spade Records (Pty) Ltd/Universal Music (Pty) Ltd. The project featured several local and international artists including Njelic, Aymos, Azana, Sino Msolo, Da Muziqal Chef, Malum Nator, Zwayetoven, MaWhoo, Mkeyz, Daliwonga, Murumba Pitch, Eemoh, Professor, Dr Thulz, Ma Lemon, De Mthuda and several others.

Samukelo Rorisang Mavuso known as Sam Deep was born on the 18th April 2001 (Age 23), in Killarney, Orlando West, Soweto, South Africa. He finished his secondary education at Alberton, High School, Soweto.

Soweto is a popular township of Johannesburg. It consists of mix economy of wealthier and poorer residents. In general, the average income of the NW and SE part of Soweto have lower income, while those in the SW part tends to have a higher income.

Sam Deep loved music and football from his early age, although while growing he thought he would become a football legend. He was always fond practicing football with his uncle and after practice they would unwind themselves with music. This introduction to music shift his focus from football to music.

In 2016, Samukelo started his career officially as a DJ and Producer and the adopted the name Sam Deep for his career journey. The 15 years old baby faced DJ began his passion into the Amapiano culture.

On 8 April 2022, Sam Deep released his first hit single titled “Kusezo Khanya” featuring Babalwa M, Playgal and De Mthuda. The song had over 15 million streams across several digital music platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Boomplay, Audiomack and Google Music.
