Sad Story of Angela Moraa
In Nyamatari, Kisii County, a Kenyan woman named Angela Moraa got lucky and secured a green card to move to Minnesota. To fast-track her citizenship, Moraa married a kind but slightly naive American man named Dave.
Though she cared for Dave, there was a catch. Back in Kenya, Moraa had a boyfriend—a young medical doctor working at KTRH. This boyfriend was charismatic and full of promises about lucrative investments, land deals, and business ventures. Trusting him, Moraa regularly sent money to secure their shared future.
While living in the U.S., Moraa juggled her American life and her Kenyan love life through WhatsApp calls and occasional updates from her boyfriend, who even shared suggestive photos with bold promises of passionate reunions. Her husband, Dave, remained oblivious to Moraa’s double life.
Recently, Moraa decided to surprise her boyfriend with a visit to Kenya, eager to inspect the “investments” and perhaps plan a romantic trip to Diani. However, upon arriving unannounced at his residence, she was stunned to find him with another woman—a beautiful, younger lady in a compromising situation.
To make matters worse, Moraa discovered that the money she sent had been squandered on Kisii women, and there were no investments or title deeds. The betrayal hit hard, and Moraa realized she had been played.
Days later, tragedy struck. Moraa and her boyfriend were found dead in a Kisii apartment, with syringes at the scene. Whether it was a murder-suicide or something else remains unclear.
Moraa’s story is a cautionary tale about the perils of emotional decisions and infidelity. Balancing a marriage abroad and a secret relationship back home led to devastating consequences.
In the end, the moral remains: betrayal is costly, and the color of dust is always brown. Oh, and by the way, William Ruto must leave that house on the hill before things get worse for us all!”
