Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu popularly known as RMS is a Nigerian Politician, Member-elect of the House of Assembly Owode/Onire Constituency, Kwara State.
Before joining the political space, she was also a Journalist, Seamstress, Student, Entrepreneur and Women’s right advocate.
Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu (RMS) was declared winner of the House of Assembly Owode/Onire Constituency, Kwara state at the just concluded 2023 Nigerian General Governorship/State House of Assembly elections held on the 18th March 2023.
Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu (RMS) is refered to as the most youngest female youth at age 26 to win a political election in Nigeria.

Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu (RMS), was born on 6th June, 1996 at Manyan village, onire district Asa LGA Kwara state.
Education
She attended all her early education at Illorin. She attended Baptist Primary School in Illorin where she obtained get primary school leaving certificate, thence she proceeded to Government Girls Day Secondary School where she obtained her West Africa Secondary School Leaving certificate (WAEC) in 2011.
Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu (RMS), after graduating from Secondary School in 2011, she further her education career. She obtained a diploma in Mass Communication and Islamic Studies in 2015, at the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies.
After obtaining her Diploma in 2015, She learnt Women’s fashion design school to become an entrepreneur and a good Seamstress.
In 2022, RMS obtained a degree in Mass communication with an excellent result (Second Class Upper Division) from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

Rukayat Shittu career started during her undergraduate days. She is a political inclined woman with alot of aspirations and dreams. She became the first Senate president for the Congress of National Open University of Nigeria Students. The position paved way for her political dream of becoming the Member of House of Assembly, Kwara State.
In May 10th 2022, RMS took an brilliant decision by obtaining the Nomination and Expression of interest forms for the All Progressive Congress (APC) party for the House of Assembly Owode/Onire State Constituency.
In May 27th 2022, RMS made history by winning the primaries and became the flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) party for the House of Assembly Owode/Onire State Constituency, and she is the first youngest female member of the House of Assembly in Kwara State.
