Penny Ntuli is a South African actress, radio personality and presenter, event facilitator & PR Specialist. She was one of the most notable OAP at Gagasi FM before her resignation in March of 2024.

Biography & Career
Penny Ntuli, real name Nontobeko Ntuli was born April 12, 1997 (Age 27). Hailing from KwaZulu-Natal, Penny Ntuli had always had a thing for media.

While she was in highschool, she was part of her school media team and upon graduation from the university, she secured her first radio presenting job at Radio-DUT in April of 2018. She anchored the Lunch with The Girls which was held every Friday from 12pm – 3PM.

After working with Radio-DUT and gaining some presenting experience, she left to join Vibe 94.7 FM as an On Air Personality in May of 2018. While at Vibe 94.7 FM, she hosted various shows, including Urban Hip Hop, which aired every Saturday from 7pm to 10pm, and The Weekend Crossover show, which typically took place every Friday from 10pm to 1am. Additionally, she was the presenter of the show, The Joint, which aired on Saturdays. She worked for Vibes FM from May 2018 to September 2019.

In October of 2019, she secured a presenting job at Durban Youth Radio Station and worked for the station throughout the pandemic until her resignation in 2021. Which in Durban Youth Radio Station, she anchored many shows including The Cruise Drive, The Breakfast Show, The VIP Lifestyle and The Weekend Experience.

She got her massive breakthrough in the industry in 2022 after she secured a job as one of Gagasi FM’s On Air Personality, anchoring the Ziyakhala show that holds every Saturday & Sunday (1-4AM).

Aside being a radio presenter, Penny Ntuli is also an event organizer, PR Specialist and an actress, performing as a background artist at SABC 1’s Uzalo soap opera.

Resignation from Gagasi FM
Penny Ntuli resigned from her post as an OAP on Gagasi FM due to very poor pay. Her earnings of R2900 per month didn’t sit well with many South Africans, with some calling out the radio station for exploitation.

“I hope this finds you well. Kindly receive this email/letter as my formal notice & request that my Offer Letter for the 2024 Season as an On Air Personality at Gagasi FM be NOT renewed. It’s been an amazing 2 years there. I am grateful to be considered as one of the talents that’s been given an opportunity to showcase their talents once again in the new season on your platform, However the salary of R2 800 p/m on my Offer letter/Contract is not something I can sustain my life with.” – Part of her resignation letter reads.
