Saleng was born on 13th March 1998 Boitumelong, Bloemhof, North West, South Africa. The player loved playing football at his early age. He started his football career at Orbit College in the South African Football Association Second Division, then he advanced to join Free State Stars in 2019, where he had a debit season. In the 2020/2021 National first division, he was the best player of the tournament and the top goal scorer with 13 goals in 29 matches.
Due to his astonishing performance in the 2020/2021 National first division, the player drew the attention of various top clubs globally. In July 2021, Saleng signed for South African Top based club “Orlando Pirates”.
The player was loaned by his club Orlando Pirates to Moroka Swallows in 2021/2022 season. He returned back in great form to his club Orlando Pirates in 2022/2023 making regular First team and his return marked a great contribution to the team scoring about 5goals in eight matches.
In addition to his club performance, the player has made over 8 appearances for South Africa including two friendly features against Mozambique and Angola.
