Biography
Luthando “BU’ Mthembu was born on May 26, 1990 (Age 34). He hails from the coastal city of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal province and only moved to Gauteng after he attained adulthood.
Luthando “BU’ Mthembu was educated in Glenwood High School, a traditional boys’ high school based in Durban. He got into the entertainment industry immediately after Matric and only got his fame after he was featured on the Big Brother Mzansi: Beke Le Beke (also known as Big Brother Mzansi 3).
Luthando BU Mthembu’s stay at the Big Brother Mzansi was short but impactful, and it acted as a stepping stone to his career.
Life After Big Brother
Despite spending less than 6 weeks in the Big Brother House, Luthando BU Mthembu has been able to build an impressive brand, positioning himself as an A-list entertainer.
Immediately he was evicted from the Big Brother House, Luthando “BU” Mthembu bagged a deal with ElectroMode that saw him work with veterans like Reason HD. In July of 2022, Luthando BU Mthembu starred in the season 2 of Ayeye that aired on August 5th on Mzansimagic.
