Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni is a radio & Tv presenter, influencer, a beauty entrepreneur and a winner of Miss South Africa 2015. She is married to Dr Musa Mthombeni and together, they have been able to inspire lots of young couples with their selfless love and dedication to each other.

Biography & Background
Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni was born on Dec 24, 1990 (Age 33). She hails from Soweto and lived most of her life in Eldorado Park. Being from a broken home, Liesl Laurie was raised mostly by his grandmother while her mother worked to achieve a degree in Education so she could become a professional teacher.

Liesl Laurie’s father was mostly absent and missing in action throughout her childhood and into adulthood. However, this never deterred her from staying focused on the right path.

She grew in Eldorado Park with her grandmother, Lorraine and half-sister, Micheala. She attended her primary and secondary school in the town and had
her BCom degree at University of Johannesburg in 2013.

Liesl Laurie has always been disciplined and hardworking from a young age. Unlike most kids, she never gave her struggling single mother a tough time.

“Liesl is a very sweet-natured child. She is disciplined and hard-working. Particularly in the four years when I was unemployed while studying to be a teacher. She had to get accustomed to having nothing and knowing she could get nothing for free.” – Liesl Laurie’s mother, Karen said in an interview with channels24.

Fame
Liesl Laurie came into limelight after winning the Miss South Africa 2015 Pageant that was held at the Sun City Super Bowl. She defeated 11 other finalists during the main event. That same year, she participated in the Miss World 2015 in Sanya, China but didn’t clinch the title.

Activism & Philanthropic Works
Following her fame, Liesl Laurie launched a number of programme in a bid to empower the girl child, notable of them was The Pearl Project.

The Pearl Project was a motivational programme for young women that’s sees Liesl works very hard to teach the girls self-confidence and self-worthiness.

Relationship
Liesl Laurie is married to Dr Musa Mthombeni and they are one of the most celebrated couples in South Africa.
