Joyous Celebration About, Founder and Biography
Joyous Celebration is an award-winning South African gospel music group that produces exceptional gospel singers and artists and they have been a source of inspiration to the christain community worldwide.
Joyous Celebration was founded in 1996 in Johannesburg, by three dynamic christain brothers and friends which are Lindelani Mkhize, Jabu Hlongwane and Mthunzi Namba. The group was formed to celebrate the smooth political change and peaceful electoral transition of power by adopting democracy.
In April 1994, the voice of South Africans was heard, as the country held their first democratic election to choose their first black president “Nelson Mandela”. The free and fair election ended the harsh apartheid regime and brought Peace in South Africa.
Joyous Celebration Members and Sponsor
Joyous Celebration was founded by three friends Lindelani Mkhize, Jabu Hlongwane and Mthunzi Namba in 1996, and they have continued to expand and open doors to more members. The group established their own record label called the “Joyous Records” in 2007, where they provide a global platform for several gospel artists to showcase their talents.
The group gives the opportunity for interested members globally to join their choir team by applying through the Ayoba app on playstore and Apple store. The application process involves downloading the Ayoba app and subscribe to MTN Joyous Celebration Channel, then drop a solo song and submit for the entry process. After meeting the required standard, qualified candidates will be contacted for further information.
The group is sponsored by MTN, and their associate sponsor is TransLux.
