Ja Morant was born on 10th August 1999 in Dalzell, South Carolina, United States of America. Ja Morant parents are the inspiration to Morant career. His father Tee Morant was once a basketball player for Claflin University while his mother Jasmine Morant was a point guard and a softball player.

Ja Morant attended his High School at Crestwood located at Sumter, South Carolina immediately his high school he proceeded to his college education at Murray State from 2017 to 2019.
