Gabriel Oguda Biography, Profile and Career

Gabriel Oguda is a popular Kenyan Journalist, Communist, Media personality and Entrepreneur. Gabriel Oguda is well-known known for his fierce writing and self expression.

Gabriel Oguda began his career as Africa Regional Coordinator in the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) Student and Career Network (November 2010 – December 2015). Gabriel Oguda worked on various capacities in IUHPE, including Mapping Health Promotion Activities in Africa, Networking & Collaborations with Health Promotion Practitioners in Africa and also as a Member of ISECN New Media Group.

Gabriel Oguda also worked as a Senior Programme Officer for the African Institute for Health & Development (January 2013 – March 2018). He worked as the Head of Programmes of Health Promotion and Non-communicable diseases.

Gabriel Oguda Early Life, Background and Age

Gabriel Oguda (age 40), was born to a devoted Catholic family on the 6th of May, 1983 in Kenya. According to the Media expert, His parents named him Bildad, after Bildad Kaggia Mwaganu, who was a popular Kenyan politician, activist and nationalist. But the Catholic priest at Barkorwa Parish refused to honor the name because it was not a Saint name in the Catholic Faith.

The Parish Priest upon baptism named him Gabriel, which is an Hebrew new meaning “God is my Strength”. Then the priest sprinkled water on his head and baptised him. Ever since then Gabriel has been an outstanding child amongst his family.

Gabriel Oguda Education

Gabriel Oguda holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Art, BA in Anthropology (2003 – 2007).

In 2010, he furthered his career at the University of Bergen, Norway. Where he obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Public Health Education and Promotion.
