Thuthuka Zindlovu popularly known as Dlala Thukzin is a talented South African artist, DJ, songwriter, producer and vocalist. Dlala Thukzin has built a big name for himself in the South African music industry. His skills when behind the music deck is topnotch and his ability to fluidly switch between genres is unmatched.
Dlala Thukzin Career
The award-winning South African Amapiano artiste has been making tremendous waves across the continent with several hit songs on his name. Thuckzin started his music career in the mid-2005s before he took a break in 2006 and worked as a music producer. The singer has written and produced several hit songs such as Mzala, Clap Clap, Focus, Classic, Danki Bawo and others.
On 30th October 2020, the singer released his debut EP titled “Permanent Music”, under his record label called the Dlala Record PTY Ltd. The EP paved way for the artist with over 5 million streams across several digital music platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Boomplay, Audiomack and Google play music.
After the successful release of his first EP. The singer on 12th November 2021, he released another EP titled “Permanent Music 2” under a joint collaboration with Dlala Record PTY Ltd and DEF Jam Records Africa. The project received over 20 million views, and he archived a Gold Status of music with over 26 million streams.
Dlala Thukzin Early Life, Age and Education
Dlala Thukzin was born on the 26th of April, 1997 in Lamontville, Durban, South Africa. The singer loved music from his early age. He is from the Zulu tribe, and his real name Thuthuka means Growth or Development. Dlala was raised by his grand mother and he was said to be a talented child while growing up.
Dlala Thukzin attended the Umlazi Comtech High School from January 2010 to November 2014. He grew up in Lamontville. His music passion was drawn from his late uncle who was a local musician. He assisted his late uncle in carrying music equipment around town for gigs. With the consistent involvement in music from his early age. Dlala became interested in music and started practising singing constantly by himself.
