DJ Jaivane was born on the 9th July, 1992 in Diepkloof in Soweto. He grew up from an humble background. DJ Jaivane loved music from his early age. He started his Disk Jockey career at 16.

He struggled to acquire the necessary musical instruments to perfect his DJ skills. He worked several hours as a cashier at Pick ‘N’ Pay to be able get his musical equipment and to also feed his family.

The artist recall times he would perform at events without being paid. Instead a plate of food without meat will be given to him as monetary compensation for his time. However, this did not stop him to follow his passion for Music and DJing. He Disk Jockey loved what he do and enjoys everybit of it, so he never gave up on his dreams.

The little stipends he received while growing up didn’t stop him from producing quality music. He was consistent with his passion. After he met DJ Stokie, his career path turned around the duo tour South Africa and the globe and they gained several recognitions and awards.
