Young Zodwa was born Bushbuckridge, South Africa. Bushbuckridge also known as Mapulaneng is the principal town in Bushbuckridge Local Municipality, Ehlanzeni District, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. It built up around a trade business that opened in 1884 and is called after the vast herds of bushbuck that were discovered here in the 1880s, as well as the conspicuous ridge in the municipality’s southeastern region.
Young Zodwa was very intelligent during her high school days, but dropped out from school because of bullying.
