Threads is an online social media platform and networking platform established by Facebook Meta Company. The app was formed by Instagram team for sharing texts, media and informations.

Threads offers real-time updates and public conversation for social networking and bonding. The application is available on several operating systems including iOS and Android with full functional capacity, while the web based currently has a limited functionality which is being worked on.

Threads made a remarkable growth in it’s first 48 hours after released. It reached a high pick of over 85 Million users including Government agencies, Presidential accounts, celebrities, actors, actress, Influencers, Corporate organizations, Private firms and several others.

The app is built similar to other microblogging platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Mastodon and several others. Users on Threads can post and share texts, several medias including images, audio and video. And they will be able to repost, like and reply posts by others.

Threads – History and Founder

Threads was founded by Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta Company and it was launched on July 5, 2023 in over 100 countries.

The app was integrated and synchronized with Instagram accounts. So by default, Threads users and Instagram users share the same profile picture, user name and profile name.

How to register on Threads

Users can register on Threads using the following methods

1. Download Threads on Google Play Store or Apple Appstore

2. Install the Threads app on your Android or iOS devices

3. Then register by signing in with your Instagram account.

4. Thereafter, confirm your Threads details including username, bio, link, and profile info.

5. Then Choose the privacy option, including “Public profile” or “Private profile”

6. Click the Continue button.

7. Choose some of the accounts you would like to follow.

8. Click the Join Threads button.
