Sandile Cedric Mfusi Jnr, known as Masandi, is a South African R&B/Soul singer, songwriter, actor, and presenter, born and raised in Durban. From a young age, Masandi had a natural talent for entertaining, starting his performances at church and local talent shows at just seven years old. He also played as the lead trumpeter in his school’s brass band.

After finishing high school and while studying for a degree in Social Sciences, Masandi’s modeling and acting career began to take off. During this time, he became the lead singer of the hip-hop group Niche Fam. The group gained recognition by winning Music Group of the Year at the IKUSASA AWARDS, a significant achievement given their competition included well-known acts like Freshly Ground, Locnville, The Arrows, and Cashtime Fam.

In 2014, Masandi embarked on his solo music journey with the release of his debut single “Bring it Back.” The song caught the attention of rapper K.O., co-founder of Cashtime Life. After a studio session with K.O., the hit single “One” was born.

In 2016, Masandi launched his own record label and released his chart-topping single “Ngane Yabantu.”

By 2020, the versatile singer, songwriter, and actor signed an international deal with Warner Music South Africa, positioning himself to become a global sensation in the entertainment industry.
