On the 22nd of April, Jelly Babie had an altercation with a cashier at Big Save Supermarket & Wholesaler, with the name Martha Nonhlanhla Mazibuko. The altercation was recorded by Jelly Babie and uploaded on her Tiktok account.

In the video, Jelly Babie was seen pouring insult on the cashier, Martha Nonhlanhla Mazibuko.

“You are a do g and you are nothing, you can’t tell me anything, you might be a grown up but don’t tell me to respect you! Who are you? you are nothing but a dog. Wa phapha and lastag! We won’t speaking to you, you do g!” she said.

Martha Nonhlanhla Mazibuko responded to the verbal abuse by saying, “Please show some respect.” Jelly Babie replied, “Respect has no age. If you respect me, I will respect you. You can’t tell me anything; you are just a do g.”

The altercation which went viral on social media quickly got her fans angry and within 24 hours, she lost 80% of her fanbase. She went from 600k to 100k in matters of hours.

Termination of Endorsement Deals
Jelly Babie not only lost hundreds of thousands of followers due to her arrogance, she also lost some endorsement deal. One of her major financial backer, P squared beauty palour cancelled all engagement with the social media influencer hours after her the video went viral.

Suspension of the Cashier
The cashier, Martha Nonhlanhla Mazibuko was immediately suspended by Big Save Supermarket & Wholesaler for engaging in a verbal fight with a customer.
