On the 28th of February 2021, the head of the Unity Fellowship church got arrested by the Johannesburg Metro Police Department. It all went down when the metro police officers showed up during the Sunday service because some residents in the Midway area complained about the noise.

The congregants retaliated, as they damaged the JMPD vehicles and unfortunately injured two officers who had to be taken to the hospital. The situation got so intense that the officers had to call for backup. As a result, Pastor Mukhuba and some of her followers ended up getting arrested. They’re facing charges like assault, public violence, malicious damage to property, and contravention of the Disaster Management Act related to Covid-19.
