Candice Chirwa popularly known as Minister of Menstruation is a popular South African distinguished academician, author, engaging TEDx Speaker, podcast host, entrepreneur and the founder of QRATE foundation.

She is a strong advocate for equal human rights for women and girls in the society. Her activism is led by the belief that Individual deserves equal treatment irrespective of their gender.

Candice Chirwa is the founder and the director of QRATE, which is a Non-profit organization focused in enhancing critical thinking, gender equality and educational grooming. QRATE goal is to promote critical analysis through educational contents amongst youths by promotion of ‘Eduliftment’, which consist of three major pillars: Service, Education and Advocacy. Through these tools QRATE hopes to achieve a better society for the youths and children.

Candice is also known as a brave woman that speaks openly for the minds of the youth about issues and resources that affects the young generations. She is on a campaign to change the disempowering narrative around Menstruation amongst the girl child. Candice is also an active TEDx Speaker and podcast host.

Candice Chirwa Early Life, Age and Education

Candice Chirwa (Age 27) was born on 12th December 1997 in Johannesburg, Guateng, South Africa. She attended La Salle Holy Cross College in Randburg, South Africa. Thence, she proceeded to WITS – University of Witwatersrand where she obtained a Bachelors of Arts, Major in International Relations.

In 2018, She enrolled at the University of Witwatersrand for her Masters Degree in Arts.
