Tania Msane Zungu: Another Possible Case of GBV & A Cry For Justice
Tania Msane Zungu is another victim of gender-based violence in South Africa. Born on the 22nd of March 1987 and hailing from KwaZulu-Natal, she graduated from the University of South Africa and was a successful entrepreneur. Tragically, Tania Msane Zungu was brutally murdered at her Pinetown home on January 3, 2024.
She married Lwanda Mxolisi Zungu on March 5, 2011, and together, they were blessed with two beautiful boys. On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, she was shot multiple times at her home and died at the scene.
Suspected Case of GBV
Tania Msane Zungu was allegedly shot by her husband, Lwanda Mxolisi Zungu in the presence of their kids and immediately fled the scene after neighbours called for help.
It is alleged that the couple had a domestic dispute before the suspect allegedly shot Tania multiple times.
Justice
The following day after the shooting, the suspect handed himself over to the police. KwaZulu-Natal police are ontop the case and will be presenting the suspect to court.
